All the research activity at CEBAS-CSIC is based on basic knowledge and research but with a clear applied orientation. To foster the use of all this knowledge by the productive sectors, it has its Technology Transfer Office (TTO) - the mission of which is to promote, coordinate and manage professional relations between CEBAS-CSIC researchers and companies.

The TTO facilitates the incorporation into society of CEBAS-CSIC scientific knowledge and research results, by fostering and promoting relations with companies and channelling their demands to the scientists. It advises researchers and businesses as to their professional relations, methods of collaboration and support mechanisms. It is also in charge of matters pertaining to industrial protection of research results (patents, plant varieties…) and their transfer to the productive sector. The TTO also advises researchers in the setting-up of technology-based businesses.
